Relocating? Your Concierge Guide to the South Bay
Moving an employee to Silicon Valley is one of the most consequential transitions a company manages. For the family on the receiving end, it's even bigger. They're choosing a home, a school district, a commute, and a community, often in a market they've never lived in and on a tight timeline.
I'm Lee Ann Wade, a licensed California real estate agent with Christie's International Real Estate Sereno, based in Los Gatos. I specialize in helping relocating professionals and families find the right home in Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Campbell, and I handle the entire experience personally, from the first phone call to the day the last box is unpacked.
Why Relocation Professionals Choose a Local Specialist
Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Campbell sit within a few miles of each other, but each has its own character, school options, housing stock, and commute profile. A generalist agent can send a list of listings. A local specialist tells you what the listings don't:
Which neighborhoods feel quiet and wooded, and which are walkable to downtown
How a home's location affects the real-world commute at 7:30 a.m., not just the map estimate
Which streets, lot types, and home styles fit a particular lifestyle
What's realistic at a given budget in each city
That is the knowledge your transferees need, and it's what I provide.
A True Concierge Experience
I don't hand relocating clients off to a team. Every client gets my personal attention.
In-person area tours. For clients who can travel, I personally drive them through Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Campbell. We visit neighborhoods, downtown areas, parks, and trailheads, and talk through the local schools and what daily life looks like in each community.
Virtual tours and Zoom consultations. For remote clients, we do the same conversation by video. I answer questions in real time, walk through neighborhoods, and make sure they arrive with confidence rather than guesswork.
Curated listings, not a firehose. I learn what matters to each family (space, yard, style, budget, school priorities, lifestyle) and send a focused set of homes to review. No endless scrolling through irrelevant results.
Commute planning. For many tech professionals, the commute decides everything. I help clients map the drive, or transit route, to their office, whether that's Los Gatos, Cupertino, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, San Jose, or beyond, and understand how Highway 17, Highway 85, Highway 880, and local roads behave at the hours they'd actually travel.
Neighborhood and home matching. The goal isn't just a house. It's the right house in the right neighborhood for how this family actually lives.
Understanding the Homes: A Builder's Perspective
Here's what sets my approach apart. My family is in the construction business. My husband runs E. Wade Construction, a cost-plus design-build firm serving the Los Gatos and Silicon Valley luxury residential market, and I have deep experience in construction project management and interior design. I even completed several full teardowns and rebuilds on my own Los Gatos home.
That matters when you're buying in these communities. Many homes here are older, on hillside or unique lots, or are candidates for remodeling. I can help clients look past the staging and understand what they're really buying: layout potential, the condition of major systems, what a renovation might involve, and what questions to ask before making an offer. Relocating clients often don't have time to learn this the hard way.
Settling In: Organized Spaces
The move doesn't end at closing. I co-run Organized Spaces, a professional organizing company, so once your employee's family moves in, I can help them unpack, set up functional systems, and turn a house full of boxes into a home. It's a seamless handoff that most relocation agents simply can't offer, and it gets a family back to normal life, and back to work, faster.
Why Los Gatos, Saratoga, and Campbell?
Los Gatos offers a charming walkable downtown, foothill and mountain scenery, and quick access to Highway 17 and the Santa Cruz Mountains, all close to major tech employers.
Saratoga is known for its quiet, tree-lined neighborhoods, a village atmosphere, and a strong sense of community, with convenient access to Cupertino and the west valley.
Campbell blends a lively downtown with a variety of housing options and easy freeway access, which suits those who want a central South Bay location.
